Just a couple of weeks after some comments by Michigan State cast some doubt on if the outdoor game between the Wolverines and Spartans would actually happen, it sounds like the game is on for good.
There will be hockey played at Michigan Stadium on December 11, 2010 at 3 pm. It will be awesome.
Also according to the article, Wisconsin has sold 42,000 tickets for the upcoming Culver's Camp Randall Hockey Classic and they expect to have the lower bowl sold out for the game.

I saw the blurb that Tim Stoudt wrote last week in the Lansing State Journal. Where I regard Stoudt along the same journalistic lines as Antoine Pitts, it wouldn't surprise me that the outdoor game communication between MSU and Michigan was a bit blurry. Of course, Stoudt had to get his digs in on Michigan, too, which aligns with my opinion of his dribble.
Yeah I wish Tim Staudt wasn't in Lansing. Trust me state fans like myself don't want him either. Good luck to you guys this weekend should interesting and I'm thinking a typical MSU-UM series with a split. Unlike last year of course when you guys waxed us. I love the blog and enjoy the coverage you give of one of the best teams in the history of college hockey. Amazing to think what you could do if you weren't in Madison. From a true State fan, this blog is must read. Keep up the good work.
Jeremy,
Well said. It's nice to hear from a Spartan who is fair, balanced, and humble, instead of the normal unfounded trash talk.
I will be in attendance at both games this weekend. You guys have had our number this year, but it hasn't been a typical year for Michigan. Nothing would please me more than a Michigan sweep!
Go Blue,
Geoff
Jeremy, thanks a lot, that's a really nice compliment!
Doing what I can, even if work and a lack of games on national TV have kind of hindered the coverage a little bit this year.
Glad you guys signed on for The Big Chill at The Big House. While I'm sure we could have found another opponent, I think it's a lot more special--and a lot more fun--to have that game be Michigan and Michigan State. Maybe you guys can break out the silver jerseys again ;-)
A big thumbs down on the name "Big Chill." Cold War II or something far more clever would have been far better.
