Time for some links--some of which are new, and some which would've been included in the last Media Roundup had I not been in mourning for a good part of last week. Dammit Brett.
Anyway, you've probably seen half of these but they're still worth a post:
JMFJ has been concentrating on defense for much of the year but is slowly turning into the player he was in college. I still can't believe the Canes made that trade...
Drew Cogs has been under the radar due to Sam Gagner, but he's having a great rookie season. It's too bad the Wings never get a shot at a player like him in the first round. Oh wait...
Max Pacioretty was named to the CCHA All-Rookie team. Palushaj and Langlais were Honorable Mentions. Not a fan of Palushaj being left off, especially since four forwards made the team. When you lead the #1 team in the country in assists, chances are you should make the CCHA All-Rookie team. I'm just considering this practice for Porter getting jobbed out of the Hobey.
Mike Komisarek: The Toughest Man in the NHL (HT: MVictors) Ovechkin said that Komo will become one of the best players in the league. Lofty praise.
USA Today's stellar feature on Yost. I think those pictures of the arena, pre-hockey, are just awesome.
This is really old, but I just saw it. MGoBlue interviewed Pacioretty, Rust, Hagelin and Summers before the WJC. It's worth watching to see Summers's impression of Hagelin (and Hagelin's retaliation). Absolutely hilarious.
This might be my favorite link of the year: Eric Nystrom recreating the striptease from Slapshot. Here's the original if you need a refresher. He pretty much hit it dead on. (HT: PhatJoeSki at the Yost Post)
The ten Hobey Finalists were announced on March 15th last year, so they should be coming out in the very near future.
